Free For Charity builds and hosts your charity website for free on GitHub Pages, validated first on its free GitHub Pages address, then served on your own Cloudflare-managed domain.
How it works
- A volunteer developer sets up your site from one of our two open-source templates — the complete Single Page site (most charities), or the Footer-Only template that adds the FFC footer and compliance layer to a website you already have and love.
- Your site goes live and is validated on its free GitHub Pages address — then we purchase your domain and point it at the validated site with HTTPS.
- Your site is fast, secure static hosting — no servers, plugins, or updates for you to manage.
Once it is live, any content or design change is just a support ticket away. A validated live website is the prerequisite for the domain purchase, and the domain is the prerequisite for nonprofit email. Learn more on our web hosting page.
